THE PURPOSE OF THIS PROCEDURE IS TO GUIDE AN INSPECTOR THROUGH THE PROCESS NECESSARY TO COMPLETE ALL LEGAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE REQUIREMENTS TO REVALIDATE EN EXAMINER CERTIFICATE.

Examiner revalidation applications must be performed on the “Examiner application form” found on the Examiners intranet. Once the form has been received, it must be saved in the WorkZone system on the personal file.

To revalidate an Examiner certificate 3 requirements must be fulfilled.

  1.       The Examiner must attend an Examiner seminar
  2.       The Examiner must pass an Examiner assessment of competence
  3.       The Examiner must meet prior experience requirements.

The Examiner must attend an Examiner seminar, before the Examiner assessment of competence is scheduled. The Danish CAA accepts if the applicant has either attended a Danish, Norwegian or Swedish Examiner seminar. Once the Examiner seminar is passed, the Examiner assessment can be scheduled.

The Examiner assessment of competence is preferable performed as a supervision of the Examiner applicant, performing an actual check, test or assessment of one of his privileges. If this is not possible, it can be accepted, that this is performed as a dummy flight.

The Examiner coordinator will appoint a Senior Examiner or an Inspector for the Assessment. It will preferably be an Inspector or Senior Examiner with the same privileges, as the once being revalidated, but this is not a requirement.

The planning of this assessment can be done by the Danish CAA or between the Assessor and the applicant.

It is important, that before the assessment is scheduled, the applicant is aware of any fees and expenses for this assessment. The applicant must cover all costs for dummies, simulator, aircraft, transportation and accommodation of all persons involved. Furthermore he must pay the Examiner certificate issue fee as described in Fee notice.

The Examiner assessment of competence must be performed on the “Examiner assessment of competence” form found on the Examiners intranet.

Once the Examiner assessment of competence is passed and documentation is received, it must be saved on the Examiner applicant personal file in the CAPTIA system.

Now the Examiner must be updated in the Examiner database which is an ACCESS database designed to include all Examiner information. The information must be entered manual and abbreviations as described on the Examiner certificate shall be used. “Personal details”, the last entry area in the database, shall only be filled out, if requested by the applicant.

At this point it is important to check what privileges can be revalidated. The Examiner must have 6 checks, tests or assessments per examiner privilege held, FE, FIE, TRE in the validity period. If this is not fulfilled on one or more privileges and the Examiner assessment of competence is not performed on this privilege, they will be lost.

It must also be verified that the applicant holds a licence, rating or certificate equal to the privileges on the Examiner certificate and the privilege to instruct for them.

When the Examiner database is updated, the licence and the attached letter must be printed, stamped and signed by issuing Inspector.

This is done in the word file “Examiner certificate” and “Examiner brev” where the relevant Examiner is entered and printed. Always double check Examiner details with T-sys in case of changes in personal information.

The last step is to enter examiner details and Examiner assessment of competence date in “Examiner gebyrer ikke registreret”. By doing this, the Examiner certificate issuing fee, will be send to the Examiner applicant.
